Doormats are a useful and stylish accessory, not just for your front door. Simply lay out your new doormat in front of your patio, balcony or garden door to keep dirt and moisture out of your home. But floormats are also the perfect addition to your home indoors: place them in the hallway or kitchen, for example. Stylish jute doormats create a natural and modern look. However, only use them indoors, as they don't react well to water. Outside your front door or in the hallway, we recommend an easy-care model made of synthetic fibres.

How to clean your doormat

Our doormats are robust and easy to clean. This means they can withstand the daily wear and tear in the entrance area. Clean and maintain your doormat regularly so that it keeps its shine for a long time. Vacuum and shake out the mat to remove dust and surface dirt. For stubborn dirt or stains, we recommend using a rug cleaner.

The colour

A black doormat has the advantage that dirt is less visible. A beige doormat, on the other hand, creates a friendly and inviting atmosphere. If you like it colourful and want to make a styling statement with your floormat, colourful models or individual designs are right for you.

The must haves

Choose a doormat for the entrance area that is dirt-repellent, absorbs moisture under your shoes and binds dust. In our benuta online shop you will find a wide selection of durable and high-quality doormats. To prevent the mats from slipping, many of our designs have a latex coating on the back. This means you don't need an underlay. Tip: Because of the latex coating, however, these rugs are not suitable for underfloor heating.  

The material

Especially in front of the front door, we recommend choosing a doormat made of a robust material. Here you can find everything from plastic to rubber, hemp, sisal or coconut fibres. Indoors, on the other hand, you are more free in your choice of material. Here, your floormat will be less used, which is why you can also place a mat made of virgin wool or jute. In the bathroom, floormats made of cosy cotton are a blessing for your feet.
